MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE A DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Blood in the stool is not good. If you have been under stress, it could be a bleeding ulcer. The doctor can give you medicine to help heal the ulcer. It could also be something more serious. Please, go see a doctor.

Many things, depending on your age (colon cancer is more likely after 50), if it's just a few spots on the toilet paper (can be hemorrhoids), if it's mixed with feces (the source is deeper)
if it's with diarrhea (some infections can cause bleeding- dysenteria), only once, already chronic... Amount (vascular malformations in the colon, diverticuli- large amount; colon cancer-small amount, inflammatory bowel disease: Ulcerative colitis, Crohn disease) Except for hemorrhoids (easier to treat and benign) any blood with poop deserves a full work-up by professionals.
Black stools can also be blood.
I wonder why you are asking, but if you have blood in your poop, go see your doctor right away. Good luck!

If it's just red blood it could be a hemorrhoid bleeding , varicose vein or something like that..Now if it's black that means the problem is most likely higher up in the small intestine..Could be an irritation or possibly a polyp which needs to be checked for cancer... I have an appointment myself for a colonoscopy at the end of the month! : ( I am not looking forward to that... It could be nothing or it could be something you need to deal with ...Call your Dr . if it persists otherwise give it some time to see if it goes away...

You could have a polyp which you can't see b/c it's inside... What I've been told is it is basically like a tree and if it bends b/c you are pooping that it will be painful and it can bleed. You have to have these removed and it could be cancerous! Another thing to think about... my friend has Crohn's Disease and she realized this b/c she had blood in her poop and she was extremely tired all the time. Crohn's Disease is in your intestines. Another thing is that you could just have taken a too big of a poop for your butt to get out... seriously... and it's bleeding from the outside or very close to the outside!

This could be very serious. You could have colon cancer or have a moderate to high case of ulcerative colitis. UC is when the colon flares up and starts to bleed and pass blood with bowel. You should see a doctor so he/she can start you on a dose of medication to treat your condition. One treatment may be steriods like prednisone which is an anti-inflammatory drug. Your medication will be based on the diagnosis, so see a doctor right away.

A lot. Color of the blood is important. Blood that goes through the instestines and is partially digested, is black and tarry on excretion. Common cause could include: upper GI bleed. bleeding polyps, diverticulitis, cancerous lesions, instenstinal perforation.
Bright red indicates late colon bleed, IE: rectal foriegn body trauma, hemorrhoids

Bloody stools can be caused by something as simple as rectal bleeding from a hemorrhoid or having a hard bowel movement, to something more serious like a gastrointestinal disorder or gastrointestinal bleeding.
See your primary care physician if the bleeding persists.

If it is bright red blood it is likely from a hemorrhoid or an anal fissure. If it is black it is something up in the intestines or stomach and needs to get checked out.

Could be Celiac Disease. Get to a GI immediately and ask for blood work to test for Celiac Disease. If he blows you off, seek a second opinion. COuld be hemmoroids by why risk your health? You should never be bleeding from the rectum.
