The cost of the hair is just part of the process. You must decide on an extension tech first. Book a consultation with them to find out about what kind of system they use. I would personally not work with any glue in type. If this is for a special occasion only you can consider same clip ins by Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves available on line. I would have a stylist match up your level and tone PRIOR to ordering. Have them put them in for the occasion also. If you are looking for a system for extended wear your options are sewn in, hand tied or a bond system. The longer the hair, lighter the color and smoother the texture the more expensive. Some techs who sew in charge as little as $500 while bond or hand tied tend to double the price. This is not including the hair. Your tech will also be the best source for referring you to good quality hair to purchase if you go with a sewn it type. For bonded and hand tied they will order their particular product. This is an expensive but fun thing to do. If you are cheap about it you will not be as happy with your result. Best of luck.
