Most questions will be regarding, why you want to be a Police Officer, what can you bring to the department and community, what's your favorite color, can you arrest someone for stealing food that's starving or a relative, have you ever wanted to harm someone or wished harm on someone who did something wrong to you. Just relax, be open, smile here and there, and let the board see who you are as a person. I never liked doing the oral board, and sometimes there can be several people sitting across from you during the interview. A lot of times they want to see how well you interact with them and how you handle stressful situations. Watch your body language, sit straight up, feet firmly on the floor, look directly into the eyes of the person asking a question, don't stare at them though, look away from time to time for a brief moment. Answer with the standard Yes Sir, No Sir, use the police language such as instead of answering yes answer "correct" . Most of all believe in your self. You would not have gotten this far if you did not have something worthwhile to offer the department. You will be nervous, but the board expects that to happen. Best of luck!!!

Biggest questions I remember were, why do you want to be a police officer, and If you had too could you arrest your best friend?
I can't offer any other advice on this. I've been through the process 3 times and failed all 3.

maximum colleges are searching for officials who're a touch laid back. In different words - no rookie syndrome, badge syndrome, and no fairly "gung ho" varieties. they favor an officer who gained't disrupt the scholars and a number of their questions can be about the way you'll take care of circumstances on the campus. they oftentimes favor lenient.
