Because the guy I'm dating only likes to talk on the phone for about 5 minutes. And it's not like we have nothgin to talk about, we allways do!

Honestly, I really don't like to talking on the phone. I can't say I am boring but whenever I am on the phone I feel like I have to entertain the other person to keep there attention. So, I prefer text messaging because when you send a text your like anticipating the reply back which makes the conversation more lively. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

I have learned over my lifetime that men are not much in the way of 'talkers'. I have met many men who will talk up a storm in person, tell many jokes and will give you their life history - in person - talking on the phone is not as easy. I had a friend who once told me that in order for him to be comfortable talking on the phone, it would have to be late at night - when he has completed his running around, meals, etc. and he is just about ready for bed. My boyrfriend of 6 years and I talked talked on the phone our first time from 3:00 one Sunday afternoon, untli 5;00 that Monday morning. We didn't get any sleep - but we had fun asking each other, "Are you asleep?" "No, are you?"
