We were joint second from last. Eurovision is a joke. I think she would enter something ridiculous next year. Yes, Scooch were rubbish but I'm sure some people thought they had a chance. How about The Wurzels (are they still going?) or David Brent off The Office. He could do his funny dance.

Second to last! We managed to beat poor Ireland by the skin of our teeth, we came in at 23 of 24!
I could never take Eurovision seriously - it is hilarious. It's ALWAYS been a farce. It's only fit for a good laugh, in my opinion... and that comes from listening to Wogan's drunken sarcastic commentary!
The last decent song in it was Johnny Logan's Hold Me Now, back in 1987.

It wasn't England, it was the UK, but I'm sure the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish will be happy to not be associated with this tripe. Joint 22nd out of 24....Mmmmmm, not too good a show was it?

Its not supposed to be taken seriously but I do wonder about the British public - why do we always vote for smutty cr*p. Ireland have won many times in the past and don't want to win again as it costs alot to host it.

I think he had trouble sticking to his brief, given A) the awful songs and B) the political voting.
I'm glad the UK didn't even acquire the inverted achievement of "nul". If that's what the British public wanted and voted for, I want to be Canadian or something.

Ireland gave us a generous 7 points but we didnt give them any back so they finished last. we got 19 points, they got 5.
