i live in america, and i have a cousin that lives in switzerland hes like 28 years old, i havent talked to him for like 20 years so i dont know where he lives or what his number is. is there anyway where i can find out where he lives and stuff on the internet. using something free. i know what his IP address is.

With the IP address it's possible to find out in which region he'd live. For more information you could search for him either in the Swiss phone directory (first link) or in Google Switzerland.

You mean you want to find the descendants of your collateral ancestors. Your great aunts and uncles etc are your collateral ancestors. Since the last census you have in the U.K. is 1911 the best thing to do is as Maxi suggested talk to living famly that you know. Also Rootsweb, Ancestry.Com and Genealogy.Com have message boards. You might investigate them.
