im 16 and i have irregular periods, sometimes i last up to 5 months without having my period, i went to the doctor and he gave me some pills so that when ever i miss my period i take the pill the first day of the next month and that will make me get my period for that month
ok so this is my question....
if i have irregular periods is it less likely for me to get pregnat?
dont think bad, im not thinking about having sex yet, i was just wondering.
please answer honestly and if that means that theres a probability that i wont have kids just say it...thats a good sign for me because i dont think i can stand the pain of having a child
thanks for your help!

Relax honey, it's not a problem. I was like that too as a teenager. I settled down once in my late twenties(!) and I have been pregnant four times since I was 24. I know at 16 it feels like 'this is how I am', but lots of things can change.
By the way - I don't mean to be rude to the two who answered before me, but I'd guess they don't know what they are talking about. I have only given you my experience, but it is better than nothing.

i do not know anything about the pills you are taking but i will tell you this, i first got my period at 13, i don't think you could say i had a cycle like my friends, it came every 35 days then 45 days sometimes 65 days never the same, i have always been that way and i am almost 40, OK you ready, I have 5, count them 1 2 3 4 5 children so don't you worry also try asking the doc for birth control pills, not so you can have sex, and remember they do not stop sexually transmitted diseases, but they can and will regulate your period, i have never heard of a pill like you talk about, it must be new, most doctors use the birth control pills to regulate, i think it would be safer, but i do not pretend to know anything about these pills you talk about

No dear, it doesn't mean that it's less likely for you to get pregnant. Sometimes after taking pills like that for a while your cycle will correct itself, sometimes not. But, I've known people with irregular cycles that have become moms. :)

Most likely it would be harder to become pregnant in the absence of periods.
But with fertility treatment one can still become pregnant.
While childbirth can be painful... it's not horrible. My daughter said within 30 minutes she was already forgetting how painful it was.

Having your periods regulated isn't going to make yo less apt to get pregnant if you have unprotected sex than not having regulated periods. I suggest you discuss this with your doctor.

i don't know ! I suppose it might prevent you from having a kid because isn't the whole point of having your period to clean out your uterus for the eggs to have a place to hang after fertilization with out that the eggs will have no clean place to stay so they will just dissolve after a few days
late

no you can still get pregnant, i went without my period for 2 years and my doctor told me i don't produce enough lining to have a period but she stressed to me to still you protection be cause i can still get pregnant and also those pill you're using to make your period regular, some women use it to increase their chances of getting pregnant, because they can track their ovulation cycle, so if anything you're at a higher risk of getting pregnant

you probably have poly-cystic ovary syndrome (or something like that)
sounds like he gave you birth control to regulate your periods.
so, chances are you wouldn't get pregnant because your periods are irregular AND you are taking birth control.
