You definitely have some sort of anxiety, and maybe a phobia as well (the fear in a crowded area). There are many ways to treat anxiety. If you really don't want to take meds, you'll have to rely on slower methods like yoga or the martial arts. The breathing exercises of yoga can bring you a deep sense of peace, whereas the strenuousness of the martial arts burns up excess adrenalin and gives you a lot of confidence and control. Taking up something like running also helps, as anxiety triggers the flight/fight response. Support groups are also useful.

Calm down and relax. Go to the spa or take a day off. Meditation and Yoga could also greatly help you. Especially Meditation because it is allll about relaxing. It isnt hard to start of jus simply sit down (with palms up and on lap) close your eyes and empty your mind. Do it in a place that is quiet and clean. You can start for five minutes and keep going up if you wish (but start off with 5 mins for at least a week). This is the basic part. You should find a class or group that teaches stuff like this so you can advance and better your life.

Not knowing whats wrong, feeling dizzy, being shaky, sensation of heaviness in chest, scared of crowded areas and all suggests the possible role of anxiety. If medicines are not your choice, as already been advised by many, pls try relaxation exercises, yoga, meditation, talking with some one whom you trust - on any thing that comes up in your mind as you may experience, etc are all excellant things to do. Choose any one or a combination of those that suits your life style.
But if you are skilled in observing your experiences as you described, keep in touch with those sensations, experiences, and related or co-occurring thoughts which may lead you to some revealing awareness and a steady control of the undesired things you are subjected to. Keeping in touch with these things require repeated practice. It is not difficult, but becomes easier as you practise more. Most people react to their symptoms in unhealthy ways. Reacting to the symptoms you mentioned may not be helpful. Often, the human body which possesses very miraculous remedial resources can cure itself.

Understanding what you have and what symptoms may arise is important if you want to try to deal with this on your own. The earlier you can detect the symptoms the better chance you have of getting it under control on your own.
Anxiety and fears/phobias have similar symptoms. Check these assessments for anxiety and fears/phobias. You'll learn a lot just by reading the questions.

Tell your doctor you don't want medication and ask for recommended ways to deal with the anxiety or fears.

This could be anxiety, but it could also be a number of other things. You need to see a doctor immediately to rule out any other problem. Then, if you don't want to take anti-anxiety medications, go to your local health store and ask for something to help. Good luck!

Sounds like you could be low in iron. Only a blood test will show it up. Then there are iron supplements to take if the doctor suggests it.
