Awww... I thought only I felt that way. Yes, Jesus forgives you.. don't be sad. I've failed alot too because I was afraid, I'm not afraid of things so much anymore... but I understand how you feel and so does G-d. Your question helped me... thank you, because G-d has been trying to tell me and this is just another confirmation to me that I should not be so hard on myself.

If a person is repentant of their sins (not feeling sorry for them, that's emotions) & wants to change their life by accepting Christs work on the cross and desires to become "Born Again" changing their "Mind" about their sinful past, Christ is Faithful to forgive them and they become a child of God & a Royal Priest unto themselves. This is more than most are willing to do, so U would be ahead of those who won't accept Christ, so now who is the failure??? Not many take the "Free Second Chance", so I would start taking in as much "Bible Doctrine" under a "Good Teacher" and allow the Holy Spirit to Fill U to Overflowing!!! Acquire a Good Bible with the help of a Mature Believer that is easy to read in todays English that also has "Study Helps". Get a Notebook and use it! Record Ur growth for Ur own satisfaction and to remember how great our God is!!! Begin a Regular Routine for Bible Study & Prayer and don't let anything get in it's way! John & Tam

Yes. If you are a hypocrite or a non-believer, you're a failure. True Christians will never be seen as failures because they let Jesus' blood wash our sins away.

You most certainly can be a failure.
If you fail to accept God's plan of salvation then you have become the ultimate failure.
There is no reason to become such. Take the test below:

Dave, you are never a failure in Christ. He loves you no matter what, and will forgive you when you repent. Take joy in it, little brother. You just took the first step: a broken and contrite heart (Ps 53)
Keep studying His Word and putting it into practice and you will succeed in finding His peace. What else truly do we need? I'm praying for you, buddy.

Here are some things that should give us hope when we fail in our responsibilities or sin against God or others:
1. God's modus operandi is often to bless his people in spite of their sins. Romans 8 says that God makes all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. The Bible is very honest about the mistakes, failures and sins of God's people (Abraham, Moses, David, Peter, et al.). Reading all the horrible things that the sons of Israel did, for example, will curl your hair. In spite of all their sins, God chose to bless them. In fact, God saved the lives of all of the sons of Israel as a direct result of their sin against their brother Joseph when they heartlessly sold him into Egyptian slavery.
2. When God chose to save us, he knew what he was getting. When we sin or fail God, God is not surprised. He knew we would fail and yet he chose to love us. Think of all the failures and sins that the Prodigal Son committed against his father. And yet the father's love did not waver because of the awful things that his son had done. Romans 8 also says that nothing at all could separate us from the love of God through Christ (this includes our own sin).
3. According to 1 Corinthians 1, God has a tendency to use the weak and lowly people to accomplish his plans rather than the strong, mighty and influential people. He chooses imperfect people (failures) so that even more glory can be attributed to him. According to Romans 5, cannot "out-sin" God's grace. The more you sin, the more God's grace is known.
4. According to Romans 6, we should not use God's grace and mercy as an excuse to neglect our duties toward God, family, job, etc. We should obey God out of gratitude to God for all that he has done to save us and bless us. Regardless of whether the bad situation is due to our own sin or lack of wisdom or whether the bad situation is due to circumstances beyond our control, it is impossible for things to get so bad that things are beyond hope when God is in the picture.
5. All that matters is what God thinks of us (not what others think of us or even what we think of ourselves). We may be a failure in our own eyes or in the eyes of the world, but all that matters is what our Father thinks of us. Like the father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, our Father loves us regardless of how much we've failed him or others or ourselves. We should meditate on God's thoughts toward us at all times so that we can align our thoughts and attitudes with God.
The bottom line is that we should do all that we can to live wisely and to obey God. But we WILL fail to some extent or another. God has forgiven our sins and failures because Jesus paid the penalty for those sins 2000 years ago. If Christ's sacrifice was good enough to secure forgiveness from God, shouldn't it be good enough to secure forgiveness from ourselves?

No.
Your shame and failures only live within you.
We all have free will and we all have the ability to improve ourselves everyday and every moment of our lives we have a choice to turn things around.
