There must have been a reason behind why you mom had to give the dog away. Just ask her. I am sure it wasnt to hurt you.
My mom had to give away our dog because the new landlord didnt want any pets.
Now that I have my own place I have 2 dogs and a cat.

You probably have little control over the situation not being the mother. And I am guessing your mom had reasons for doing what she did. Hopefully the dog has a good home -- part of love is wanting what's best for the loved one, in this case the dog. So I'd say let it go and try to be understanding of your mom too. Maybe there are situations you don't know all about regarding giving her away. You will miss her for awhile but it will fade with time.

Making a scene isn't going to get you anywhere. In fact, it will show your Mom you haven't yet grown up enough to take care of a dog.

I"m sorry your mom gave your dog away. Why?

Who was supposed to walk it?

Train it?

Clean up after it?

Give it love/affection/play?

You need to sit down calmly and ask your Mom why she did this and then work on doing better.

Perhaps if there is a dog shelter or vet nearby you can volunteer on Saturday's to help with the dogs.. learn about how to care for one. Perhaps after some time your mom will allow you to get another.

I wish you the best of luck.

I've loved and missed every dog I ever had.

Just move on. There is no point in making a scene, you would just look silly and immature. Moving on and accepting the fact that your dog is gone can demonstrate that you are responsible for your own actions (if you caused the dog to be given away) and that you understand your mom's decision.

Im sorry that your mom gave away your dog , but the best thing to do is to move on with your life and maybe get a new pet over time .

How much did you care about the dog? If you truly loved the dog, and really took good care of it, and your mother had no real reason to give the dog away, I'd raise 300 seperate kinds of hell. If she fed, bathed, trained, and took it potty, then it was her dog anyway, and it was well within her rights.

Making a scene won't help you convince your mother to let you have another dog some day.

let your mom know how much you loved your dog and how much she ment to you. maybe you could sit down and talk with your mom about this. you should get your point across and then move on.

good luck :)
