You need to start eating 5-6 small meals a day. by speading out your meals and eating smaller ones you will be keeping your blood sugar levels normal. It's drops in blood sugar that cause you to get really hungry and to overeat.
Watch your portion sizes, it is so easy to over eat with everything getting super-sized today.Read the labels of the foods you eat, they will tell you what the serving size is and how many calories are in a serving.
Also start a food diary, write in it these things:
What you ate...
How much did you eat...
What were your feelings at the time you ate it...
Were you really hungry...
The diary will help you keep track of everything you eat and how much. Which will help you to reduce your intake. Also it will help todetermine why you eat,is it because you're truely hungry or is it because you're bored or upset.Keep it for a month or two to get a true idea of what is happening and to show you what you need to change. You don't state if you exercise or not, try for 30min of cardio everyday. You lose weight when you burn more calories than you take in.
I wish you luck.

The best way to lose weight it to exercise. Diet alone will never work.
Diet alone never works. This is because your body has a natural mechanism that the moment you decrees your food intake by a large amount it starts to store all the food that you do eat as fat. This is ok as long as you keep on the diet.
The moment you go off the diet and start eating more. your body is still in this starvation mode and stores all the food your are eating as fat. This is why you get fatter than when you begain the diet in the first place and why diet alone will never work.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First of all, it's VERY unhealthy not to eat. It actually lowers your metabolism (in other words, makes it easier for your body to STORE fat, instead of burning it).
I would say, instead of eating lots of junk food, or fatty foods, just eat healthily.
Eat fruits instead of sugary snacks. Try not eating too much meat. Or try not using too much salad dressing, or sauce in general. That makes a big difference too!
Good luck!
