If your child usually gets a gift for his/her mother than yes you should take your child out and get a present. Let the child give the gift! Not you. Make sure that you and her have that clear, the gift is from the child not you!! . That would be a good parent and showing that you care whats happening in your childs life. Don't listen to everyones negative comments on here!! You sound like a good caring parent! We need more Dads like you!!

First of all its mother's day!!! Not wife day...being a mother and being a wife are two different things...not necessarily connected.
Get the mother in your life some flowers, a card, maybe a gift certificate to a Spa... something along those lines not too personal or mushy.
This should do wonders in terms of making any future negotiations regarding children ect go much smoother as she might see that.... hark he is sensitive and has a heart!
Good luck!

if your exwife gave you children I think you should buy something for your kids from them and often sending a bouquet of flowers from yourself just acknowledges that you appreciate the kids you have together and her abilities as a good mom.

Also, I want to applaud you for caring it's not too often an exhusband considers buying his exwife anything...you seem like a nice guy...

I think its wonderful that you are even considering your ex-wife during Mother's Day. If she's a great mom to your kids, I think it would be a great way to show your support not only to her but to your KIDS. They will always remember that you still care for her. Remember she is their MOM and how you treat her makes a difference in how they see YOU. God bless!

Why do anything? It's mother's day, not ex wives day. Anything you get should be from your children, not your ex.
