Firstly, I hope that you at least ate Krispy Kreme Dough Nuts...mmm...sugar coated circular heavens in your hands waiting for your enjoyment...who could actually be insane not to give in??
Anyway, i am sure that you were craving for something sweet thats why, and so happen the nearest was those dough nuts. That is your body telling you that it needs refuel of sugars since you have been doing alot of cardio. Doing cardio and not having enough sleep because of work is really abusing your body. Even though you may be losing your unwanted weight, you are actually straining youself too much which is unhealthy.
Exercise should be done regularly but with moderation. A full all out 40min intense workout
is sufficent when done every alternate day.
Having proper eating habits also helps. instead of having 3 full meals a day, try 6 small light meals a day instead, 1 of it being a proper meal.
Balance out your meals with the essential fats, proteins, sugars and carbs. With carbs being the lowest in your portions.
Always aim long term and nver short when it comes to working out. It benifits you physically and mentaly.
I should know as i am a chef and a ex gym goer! Have Fun!!!

ABSOLUTELY NOT! You'd go crazy if you didn't give yourself a break every now and then! And you are absolutely correct about getting the rest you need. You have got to recuperate and missing one cardio session will not be the end of the world or the end of your progress. You know your body, and you feel like you need rest, so do it!
By the way, you also need to cheat once in a while. If you stay too strict on yourself, if will just be worse for you in the long run.
You'll be fine!

I personally think that it will NOT ruin your diet- just take this as a little treat for you-working out for 5 months! The main thing is to get back on track and don't be affected by this little problem! You can do it!!

During my bulking phase, I eat cleanly 6 out of the 7 days. On that one day I don't eat cleanly, I use it as a cheat DAY. I eat what I'd like (in moderation of course). This usually allows for me to curb my cravings. During the cutting phase, I'll have a cheat MEAL every two weeks. Just because you're on a diet, it doesn't mean you can't treat yourself. Just don't pig out.

its hard to say, but you're never "ruined", just get back on track the next day
im on a diet and i have trouble staying away from sweets and such, but remember its MODERATION that counts. if you ABSOLUTLY have to have a doughnut, pick a small one and then wait to eat or home?
you know if you want some sweets have some, but dont overdo it

they say once in a while wont hurt you esp. if youre in a good routine of doing exercise. its the binges that hurt you and thats why you should never deprive yourself, otherwise you really risk pigging out etc.
