I agree with the other poster regarding checking with Social Security department.
My dad is a US citizen and he is now retired. He spends about 80% of his time overseas, but he is able to collect his Social Security. It is deposited directly into his checking account.
Of course, he also files a US tax return every year and pays income taxes here, so you might want to keep that in mind.

We old guys can live with that. Every one is hurting....even the 'rich'. Of course we could reverse all this BS by reducing our armed forces by 2/3, re-writing our trade treaties so the US wage earner gets to go back to work and start earning wages again. If Joe and Jane Lunchpail had some income they could could start paying taxes again. We could allow the federal government to negotiate with the pill pushers for cheaper drugs...just like the VA does...$8.00 for a 90 day supply of almost anything...that would be a break. By the way, Social Security can't go broke for the same reason that the Dept. of Defense can't go broke....all money comes out of the same pockets...the taxpayers.

If you are entitled to Social Security benefits, you should be able to collect them no matter where you are. There are no Social Security offices in Israel, however, as that is a U.S. government institution.

I know many elderly Jews retire to Israel, and as far as I know they still receive social security and medicare. I can't be certain, but I believe that to be so.
