Probably never. The parts about stoning your kids to death if they disobey you is still there. It's just that christians and the churches pick and choose which parts they want to obey.
For some reason homosexuality is a bigger sin than not observing the Sabbath, or taking the Lord's name in vain.

Excellent question. As the educated Christian folk know, homosexuality was never mentioned in the original transcripts of the Bible, just fornication. The Christians with common sense would realize that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah had very little to do with homosexuality as well. There are a couple out there. Uncle Wayne, for one, and Hayden Life.
However, interpreters of the Bible love to give their spin on things. They seem to forget about eating shellfish on Fridays and wearing two fabric blends. They are rich with hatred for people and causes they know nothing about and that do not affect them. The fundamentalists certainly get violent with their 'disrepesctful' children (goodness knows they never show them the same respect they demand) and kill their spirits and psyches every day. The Bibble is the most dangerous tool in all the world. I read in a book that Superman was real. With the few tools and insight at my disposal I managed to understand that this wasn't true. At about four. However in this world (and especially in this country) the Bibble proves God and God proves the Bibble. Period.
I wouldn't be surprised if God and his minions hated homosexuals; it seems God despised most of his own creations. Look at the torment he put upon Job. And those poor, poor babies. I would be willing to bet my life savings that if sacrificing unbaptized infants and marrying women off to their rapists wasn't against the laws of our (atheist and agnostic) founding fathers most extremists would still happily practice it today. It's "morality" you know.
They'll never give up on judging other people's lives rather than looking at their own, and as the entire religion is based upon bigotry, misogyny, and misinformation from more than 2000 years ago (!) nothing, it seems will ever change.
Wanna cookie?

Thats part of the old (Jewish) covenant. So certainly from a christian point of view you should be looking at things from the point of view of the New Covenant. In the New Covenant harsh punishment is replaced with the Holy Spirit as the agent of change, so we are changed to live righteously. Non-believers are not to be forced. We should in general follow the laws of society as law (except when plainly wicked).
Jewish people themselves do approve of the Pentateuch, i.e. first 5 books of Old Testament, which are the original 'written law'. However, note that Jews generally look at the Talmud as well, which contains many more laws and is much more developed in terms of legal refinement. I would guess that law was modified in the Talmud to deal with changing circumstances - ask an orthodox rabbi. I think they probably would regard that law as superceded by a more complex one.

Never
God is just - and all of the law of God is just. God's law is the bases for good and evil.
What is the atheist's bases for morality? Is it merely a consensus of men? How do they condemn the judgements given in the Bible? Do we take a poll and the winner decides what is good and what is evil? What is good today can be evil tomorrow. What is good in the United States is evil in Europe?? Your judgement does not make any logical sense.

you're careworn. If the context of the sermon became into as quickly as homosexuality-then it is alright to spice up out in basic terms that factor that speaks to homosexuals. The sermon or the factor ought to be topical. yet whilst the sermon became into as quickly as expository and this passage became into as quickly as the crucial subject count then all of it ought to be used. whilst a sermon became into as quickly as on tithing, you do no longer use verses approximately eating wine. no one is going to hell for being divorced, or gay. One easiest is going to hell for rejecting God. All homosexuals reject God, even human beings who declare to be priest or ministers. God by potential of no potential condemns somebody considering the some preachers do no longer understand a thank you to wisely assemble a sermon, or supply it. God condemns persons for rejecting Him-era.

The Word of God is eternal, Christ said at the end of the book of the Revelation if any man take any words out of this book or adds to them then God will add to them the plagues that are written in this book. We do well to remember that - especially us preachers! When that book was finished then that paragraph included not just the whole book of the Revelation but also the who written word of God.

What you are refering to my friend is the Jewish Law. However, we are under grace and since God is perfect he will be the one to judge. We do know that to practice homosexuality as a lifestyle is an abomination to God. This will never change.

I still don't know why it wasn't burned along with so many of the other books. The christians have certainly changed the parts that they don't or cannot live with themselves.
