Not at all, in fact I had the same thing happen to me last year, and I have to say that I admire how patient you were. When I was faced with this predicament, I became escalated, only because it was three girls talking on cell phones and kept nudging me without excusing themselves. The library is supposed to be a quiet relaxing environment so that people can concentrate in private. So it was not rude at all.

Sometimes, a person might not be conscious of the fact that they are taking up your personal space. Usually, the best idea is to just tell them politely to move.
I don't think it's rude unless the person was intentionally robbing you of personal space.

I'd ask him to move too. Not only is it rude, an invasion of your personal space, but also it is risky for you. He could be watching for passwords, any number of things that could cause trouble for you.
**It is rude to not be aware of the people around you. He should have realized he was into her space.

This is a good test of how good you are at blocking out distractions and focussing on yourself. This is a great skill to have in your life. Just breathe and keep your heartrate low. You'll be glad you did.

I think it is rude of the people who are crowding you. I agree that they should at least sit down.

not at all. i don't believe in crowding people and am sensitive to others comfort because i don't like being crowded. i don't think you should have to move to feel comfortable and if it persists, i'd speak to someone about it.
