First of all, most models have some form of eating disorder, whether it's throwing up or not eating much at all. They're disgustingly unhealthy, no matter how happy they appear in the ads, and that's why the modeling industry is trying to raise the weight restrictions on models. If you're 5'6 and 120 lbs, you're perfect. In fact, you're underweight. I'm your height and I weigh almost 130, but I look stick-thin. You just got lucky and have shapely, muscular thighs. Mine look like question marks. If you want to lose fat, the best way to do it is through cardio, like swimming and running, and eating a healthy diet of veggies, fruits, chicken, i.e., and try to lay off high-fat stuff, junk food and I think red meat is full of protein, which aids in muscle development, so your thighs might just gain more muscle. However, cardio is great for you anyway. Don't lift heavy weights, it makes bulky muscles. Instead, lift light weights more often. This makes longer, leaner muscles.

Also, keep in mind that your body is unique. You probably take after one of your parents, or a grandparent and genetics makes you the way you are. Love your body, be grateful that you have muscles, limbs that you can use, and appreciate that you have a concern for health. It's not about looking like a twig anyway. :-)

Most the people who replied are terribly arrogent. They are obviously not models so I think its funny that they say they dont eat and they do drugs. I know plenty of people who are not super models who do drugs and have eating disorders. Sure some models do drugs and have eating disorders but some are also the type that can eat alot and not gain weight and thats why they go into that industry in the first place. Alot of them are macrobionic (meaning they only eat food thats raw). Most of them do eat or they would have a hard time flying all around the world working 20 hours straight. They dont do much weight training and if they do its light weights in high repitition. Alot do yoga and pilates to build lean long muscles and eat very healthy and small portions...but they do eat. To be honost we see them when they are all dolled up and airbrushed in photo shoots they all wish they could change things about themselves to so dont admire what you see on a magazine cover. They have cellulite and stretch marks like everyone else.

Don't you get it. They don't work out, models have virtually no muscle mass, that's part of the reason they often look so emaciated. Some of them may even have normal body fat levels, only because they have so little muscle mass mind you, but they still look horribly thin.

I remember when Anna Kournikova slimmed down her toned physique to this scrawny looking body, I was shocked and appaulled that she would let her muscles waste away like that. You only need to worry about being fit and healthy and it sounds like you have the right idea.

Take care : )

Models are unhealthy and don't eat. Super models are NOT real life, they are air brushed and computer enhanced fakes. DON'T DO THAT TO YOURSELF! Look around at the people you know and judge yourself by what you see. I bet you will find that you start to feel better about yourself. Stay healthy by exercising and eating well and enjoy your muscular legs, I know that there are men out there who already are.

supermodels do not exercise regularly and most not at all except for some walking or light cardio. i've dated several models and none of them where into fitness or any of the girls that they worked with. if you look at the physique of most models they are not lean or muscular and many of them have above average levels of body fat since may have less than average amounts of muscle mass.

Yeah supermodels may be thin but that does not make them healthy.

Being muscular is nothing to be ashamed of, it's a sign that your body is functioning properly.

Just eat lettuce and and drink water, then when you are finished, go to the toilet and gag yourself until you throw up. Then, do that again at dinner. After that, go pay a personal trainer 4,000 dollars a day to make you sweat for 10 hours at a time, 7 days a week, for 8 months. Then have your personal shopper dress you in slimming attire and BAM, you are a model! BEAUTIFUL!
