i had a look at vista basic ..no way xp home edition was far better and ..they was doing things in widows vista ...far different to all other windows ....SO is better to get VISTA pro or stick to XP pro .?

for now it is a good idea to stick with XP Pro, Vista still has lots of bugs that need to be fixed.
So maybe next year you can upgrade to Vista.
I have both Vista business, and XP Pro loaded in my computer at work, but I only use XP now, because I was having lots of problems with Vista.

i propose to maintain vista and adjust C force to 40Gig Partition. Create yet another 25 to 30 gig partition and shipment XP on that. Create yet another Partition over the the remainder of the no longer hassle-free motive force to your records. adjust your bios as properly on the CD and shipment the XP disks directly to the hot partition. then adjust the bios as properly on the xp partition quite then C force. a working laptop or pc save will do it for you for roughly an hours value. you could continuously pass lower back to vista then interior the destiny.

vista is ok if your sys can handle it try going to vista ugrade advisor and let it scan and it will tell you what will work and what will not!
