That passage refers to practices that were going on in Judah that displeased God. As for the "hellfire doctrine;"
The wicked will be punished (Proverbs 11:21; Isaiah 13:11; 2 Peter 2:9; Matthew 5:29)
The wicked will be burned up (Matthew 3:12; 13:30; Hebrews 6:8; Malachi 4:1,3)
The wicked will be burned up with the earth (Proverbs 11:31; 2 Peter 3:7; Revelation 20:9)
The wicked will be no more (James 1:15; Romans 6:23)
The wicked will be destroyed (Psalm 145:20; 101:8; 37:38; 92:7; Proverbs 13:13; 10;29; Phillipians 3:19; 1 Timothy 6:9; 2 Thessalonians 1:9)
The wicked will perish (Psalm 37:20; Proverbs 19:9; Luke 13:3; 2 thessalonians 2:10; 2 Peter 2:12)
The wicked will be consumed (Isaiah 1:28; Psalm 37:20)
The wicked will be devoured (Psalm 21:9; Revelation 20:9; Hebrews 10:27)
The wicked will be cut off from the earth (Psalm 37:2, 9, 22, 28, 34, 38; Isaiah 33:12; Proverbs 2:22)
The wicked will go into utter ruin (Hebrews 10:39; 2 Peter 3:7)
The wicked will not go into hellfire until after the judgment (2 Peter 2:9; Revelation 20:11-15; 2 Peter 3:7)
The wicked will not burn for eternity, (forever= an indefinite amount of time) only until they are destroyed according to their sins. The fire is unquenchable, going out only after all is burned (Compare to Jeremiah 17:27; 2 Chronicles 36:19-21; Revelation 14:10, 11; 20:10)
Hope this settles the matter.

No i do no longer think interior the hellfire doctrine because of this scripture Jeremiah 7:31 and that they have geared up the intense places of Topheth it truly is interior the valley of the son of Hinnom so as to burn their little teenagers interior the hearth a element that I had no longer commanded and that had no longer arise into my coronary heart. The hellfire doctrine isn't a Bible coaching.

I believe it because the Lord Jesus Christ taught the "hellfire doctrine" more than anyone in the New Testament. Check out all the Gospels.
It's important not to base your theology on such an important doctrine on one "proof-text."

Lover of Jehovah and Jesus makes a sound statement.
Why would a loving God torturer his creation in a Hell fire?
Since the name title Devil means Slanderer and the name Satan means Resister, doesn't it make sense that Satan the Devil is behind the hellfire doctrine to discredit Jehovah God?

Which hellfire doctrine are you referring too? The one that says people live forever in hell and are constantly burning? Or The one that says people die in hell after the burn up and cease to exist forever?
The second theory is biblical and first is pagan. Most christians believe the first one is true, but these people are saddly mistaken. The second theory is correct. Humans are not immortal When they die they cease to exist.

People believe in the hellfire doctrine because they don't know Jehovah and they don't read the Bible and meditate on what it says.

Dear adriene,
Below is the Scripture you asked us to read:
"And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart." (Jeremiah 7:31)
Let me show you 1 that speaks of hell:
"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." (Revelation 14:11)
Perhaps you were thinking of this verse of the one in Jeremiah 7:31. I hope this helps you.

They are free to believe anything they care to. Since you're quoting scripture, you have some weird beliefs too.

I could quote NIV and The Message but prefer the original King Jame's version, it is much more poetic. You can purchase the two together and they are good starting Bibles but in a historical and artistic context, the King James' version is much better.
Deuteronomy 32:21-23 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
21
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23
I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

Someone in the Bible actually did that. Even tho some of the Bible is history. The Rest of it is God's word to help live a Judeo-Christian life.
