For a while now everytime I laugh uncontrollably, cry, scream, or stay in the hot I get these 5 second long pulsing/throbbing pains in the temple of my head. I can't explain it... all I know is that it hurts. I haven't been to the doctor but I have been reading up on brain tumors and things of that nature. I'm kinda scared... am I getting worked up for nothing? Please help!

I am not thinking brain tumor right off, that has a host of other symptoms. I am thinking high blood pressure. This could lead to stroke. Also a possibility of aneurysm. Less likely but possible, glaucoma, meningitis, less likely but possible. You are not getting worked up for nothing, you should see the doctor and let him or her decide that.

All of it adds up to one piece of advice. A doctor visit, this coming week, preferably Monday. Emergency room if it continues or worsens, even before that. Even if you don't get it this weekend at all: Doctor's visit!! You!! Yes!!

This is probably nothing to worry about, but to allay your own fears and to find out what, if anything, may be causing this, I suggest you quit delaying visiting your doctor. There could be a number of things causing this, but if anything serious is wrong, you will just give the illness more time to advance if you delay. My own sister delayed going to the doctor for several years after she began experiencing some bizarre symptoms. When she finally did go, it turned out she had an astrocytoma in her brain which had grown to the size of a grapefruit. Had she gone when she first noticed the symptoms, she could have saved herself from a very slow degeneration and ultimate death, which took more than 3 years to come.
