You won't believe what is going on with my father & the retirement center he is living in (Holy Haven of Rest). I came over there the other night to check on him, he was not in his room, he was sleeping with a woman 3 doors down the hall (he's 87). I couldn't believe this...I went back the next day to complain to the staff (no help from them) well...I found out that the entire place is like this. What they do is all the elderly people each night get together and the men put their false teeth in a jar.. same with the women..then they pull out a set of false teeth and that's who you get to sleep with that night..outrageous behavior! So I called Father Myrick..he's worthless BTW..I tell him.. and he laughs so hard he spit out his coke out of his nose...he ask me what does he want him to do (clueless) I say I want them kicked out of the Church..he say's "why don't we just pray for them...then he say's why don't we let it go..hell no I said.

what would you do...everyone say's NOTHING?

Now THAT's MY KIND OF OLD FOLKS HOME---where can I sign up.......!!! Geez this sounds way too funny to be true, but if it IS, more power to the old people... It sounds like they are spending the last few months of their life having a BALL (two most nights)...!!!! Why can't an 87 year old sleep with a woman or even OH MY ---HAVE SEX!!! Leave it alone, they aren't hurting anyone and will probably die the happiest old people EVER....

Do you want them thrown out of the Church, or thrown out of the retirement center?
You say your dad is 87 years old? I assume the other elderly people are also that age, maybe older? What do ya think -
how long do these people have to live? Do you want to take their ciggarettes and coffee away, and maybe not allow them to have too much sugar on their oatmeal, because it may endanger their health, too?

LEAVE THEM ALONE. Tend to your own life and leave those old people to the only
little amount of pleasure they have left. For Gods sake, they are grown people, and do you think they actually have the ability to have sex anyway? They probably just fall asleep together, and God love them, maybe its the one thing that makes them still feel like they are alive. And you want to take it from them. LEAVE THEM ALONE.
Do you fear one of the women may come pregnant? Get a grip.
You sound like a real "holier than thou" fluke, and ya know what God says about people who act like you?
He says those "holier than thou" flukes are like a smoke that gets into his nostrils and burns the whole day long.
Do you know what you do when smoke gets in your nose? YOU GET RID OF IT.
LEAVE THOSE PEOPLE ALONE.

Wonderful. All seniors in homes should be allowed this freedom. Since they can no longer have children, there is absolutely no reason that they should not do as they want. Father Myrick sounds like a fantastic enlightened loving man. I hope he never changes.

P.S. When you write says, why do you put an apostrophe in it?

Look, they are old, you can't even be bothered to keep them at home with you. They are happy and they know their life is coming to an end, they have more experience than you. Be happy for them!
Honestly, grow up!
Nothing wrong with people showing affection to each other, how would you feel if you had spend the night alone until you die in a retirement home with total strangers?
Good on them!

If we kicked people out of The Church for such behavior who would be left? Just hypocrites (who have not yet been caught), children and you, that is who! I noticed that the people that protest somebody else's behavior loudly are often guilty of that same behavior themselves. They put on this show about somebody else's behavior in order to defect interest investigating their behavior.

Wow. Well of course this is immoral behavior, but if these folks are already in their 80's and don't know Jesus, and don't follow Him, they are already condemned in their behavior. That's gonna make your future visits really uncomfortable, isn't it. Praying for their souls is about all you can do. They're consenting adults who are pushing immorality to very brink of hell. Nothing else to do.

I know few Catholics who know the real Jesus because they think their priests are gonna save them. The priests have their own sins to worry about. Sounds like you found that out.

Look at all the lost souls in your answers cheering them on. Better find Jesus, and the true church or you'll end up with them all in the lake of fire.

Take a deep breath! They are responsible for their own morals - it isn't a prison camp! Don't disrespect the priest, even as a Christian think laughter would have been my first reaction! If your father is still lucid, then talk to him. Maybe he's in need of comfort, it may not be sexual.

It's none of your business and taking it upon yourself to be The Moral Police makes you look holier-than-thou. They're old and their going to die soon and it's their choice. Do YOU want someone telling you how to live the rest of your life? The whole crying-to-your pastor thing was also kind of pathetic. Next time, why don't you just go up to him and say "Waaaaaah he's being stupid, kick him out of our club".

Well, it seems you are concerned about your father's behaviour. I would be upset if I found out something as shocking as that too.

Unfortunately, it is your father's life. You can tell him how upset you are over his behaviour though. Or, you can talk to the directors of the retirement home. Drastic measures would be changing retirement homes for him.

But, like I said before- it's his life, and parents can be stubborn. He will live it like he wants, but there's no reason that you shouldn't share your feelings or raise your concerns.

get serious. i don't believe for a minute what you just said. maybe the staff decided to tell you that outrageous story about the teeth just to see what you'd do. but even if i did believe it they draw teeth for sleeping assignments, here's what i say...

they're big boys and girls, and all well beyond the age of consent and unwanted babies. leave them alone. get a life, and let them live what's left of theirs in whatever way they want to live it. and mind your own business.
