I 'd like to visit my familiy in Australia for two weeks, I currently have a US green card and I was wondering how long it would take me to apply and get a visa?
what is the best fare rate now? I searched travelocity and expedia and nothing cheaper than 1800? Does that sound about right?

Thank you

It depends on the country from which the green card holder has a passport. I do not know if Indian nationals require a visa to visit Australia. You'd better check.

You will need a valid passport along with a visa to enter Australia. The US green card is only good for entry to the USA... If you live in the USA and you already have a passport, you can get a tourist visa online at www.austemb.org. For fares try www.qantasusa.com
Have look at the Aussie Air Pass.. Good luck

For all visa information and appropriate forms to apply for a visa go to the Department of Immigration web site at http://www.immi.gov.au
