like why is your hair like this...change the style, its too frizzy, too oily etc ,that make up doesnt suit u ...change ur makeup...wear this wear that...wear clothes like her...change ur dressing style...waxing , threading also lol...

to feel better about himself !
any time someone puts someone else down its beacause
THEY have low self esteem and by knocking yours-they feeel better in the moment
dont buy into it
teach others you MUST be tretaed well or hit the road
recognise this pattern
we do it societally
look at the tabloids !
WE LOVE to trash others
to feel better about ourselves

Sounds like he is pretty insecure with himself and he's a bit controlling. Try to write it off as his problem but if needed talk to someone about it.

I too once dated a guy like this and guess what he was rebounding and wanting me to be like his ex. I admit to encouraging him to talk, and not juding him to get down to the nitty gritty of why he said all this stuff like your guy. Guys are very elementary and you can always gage their simple thoughts by playing, like Po little Scarlet O'hara!

He really never loved you otherwise he would not have been so critical of you. You love someone for what she is and not what you want her to be. It's OK to offer suggestions to the people we are in love with but trying to change them from what they are is unacceptable.
