How do you break into the singing business? I am mainly wondering about doing back up singing.?

I'm not sure, but it would require a lot of patience and drive. Just perfect your skills, and go to any and every audition you possibly can. If you see an opportunity....take it!

If someone tells you you're not good enough....don't get upset. Analyze what you did wrong, practice harder, and try again next time.

You should find a band you are comfortable with and maybe learn their setups. You could sing backup and hold their board down. Or - even better - learn an instrument.
