find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Your in the right weight range. I cant believe your parents would call you fat! I'm a parent and i would never call my children fat.
If you really want to lose weight, maybe consider just toning up a bit. Maybe lifting some weights or doing pilates.
Are you comfortable with yourself as you are? If you are then dont worry about what other people say. Like i said your in a healthy weight range.

Excuse me for saying this... but your parents are IDIOTS. I can't imagine why a parent would come out and call their child "fat" right to their face - how productive is that supposed to be??? But, hey, if you're serious about losing weight (and I'd say no more than 3-5lbs), take up walking and try the South Beach Diet. And don't buy your mom a mother's day card!!

You're thin! Your parents need help, they sound like they have issues and what they are doing amounts to nothing less than bullying! Do NOT try to lose weight, you don't need to. You should speak to someone about your parents though, it's not normal behaviour for them to treat you this way. It's clearly affecting your self esteem and you could end up with an eating disorder if they carry on.
I am 5ft2 and 120lb. I also have bigger measurement than you, but my parents have never called my names. That's not how loving parents should act.
Take care : )

I sometimes wish my parents would acknolege that I'm fat.
Anyway, according to the center for disease control and prevetion, you're at a healthy weight.
Ask your doctor how to lose weight if you really want.

sweetie, i think the bigger problem is why are your parents talking to you this way. They should build you up and be supportive. Their behavior is called verbal abuse. You are not fat. You are a normal size, even thin. Find an adult who will support you and build up you up. Perphaps a teacher, friend's parent or another family member.. you should tell your parents how their remarks make you feel and ask them to stop. Their behavior is not normal and completely wrong!

First of all I can't believe your parents have said that to you several times?? Sit-ups, 1 mile a day, and just being very active! Get of that darn couch and work it!
