Just get the plastic ones. I've heard that it isn't healthy to use plastic in the microwave, but I haven't heard about unhealthy plastic ice cube trays!!!! And whenever you use hot water at your kitchen sink, just put a little hot water in the sink and put the trays in when they're ready. It separates the ice cubes and makes the trays last a lot longer because you don't have to twist them.

Just use plastic. Most drinks come in plastic containers and those are also bad too. You will never be able to get fully away from chemicals like that.

If you do get the plastic ones, don't go for the cheapest. They are definitely not environmentally friendly if they break the first time you use them.
