i met a guy and he is interested in me, but the feeling is not mutual. he insists that he only wants to be friends, but tells me that he cant stop thinking about me, and how much he likes my eyes. how can i tell him that i am not interested NICELY? we havent gone out on any dates, so we have no romantic ties except that he is interested in me.

Next time he makes a move on you or gives you a romantic compliment (like on your eyes), tell him plainly that you are not interested in him but would like to stay friends as long as he doesn't make any moves on you (if that's what you want). That's the nicest way to do it. You can't tell him that without hurting him, but he will have to get over it.

Politely explain to him that you enjoy your friendship and like hanging out, but are not interested in him romantically. If he cannot respect being friends, then you have to end your relationship. If you are uncomfortable about him expressing his feelings to you, then you can no longer be friends.

Just be friends. If youre not sure whether or not you like him, go on a few dates, not like youre bf and gf or even w/ romance, but just to see if you like him or not. you may just end up liking him.

Tell him that you just love him as a friend. if he dosn't talk to you after that give him time, present him friends.

are you shure you are not interested, i would give it a shot at least once, but if you are still sure be serious he has his whole life ahead of him he will get over it

You don't do it nicely. If you do he won't take you seriously. You have to be mean and cruel and break his heart. Yes, he will be hurt, but he will get over it.
