well, maybe some of the readers misunderstood my statement... maybe because i have used wrong words or terms in describing my statement..maybe i have just used strong words pertaining to medicine...when i say diagnosis, its not meant to be like im acting like a doctor and i entertain patients...its actually just like im fond of giving comments pertaining to the condition of the human body of my friends, my family member and not to someone else stranger...of course i know that not all of my comments are true, or maybe majority of them are false guess..its just that im interested of the science of the human body, or whenever i accidentally read articles relating to medicine or to health, i can easilly absorb them, and kept it in my mind.....and so im asking now is this traits of mine, a good reason for me to try out medicine.....

Having been to medical school, I know many people who started out in non-science fields prior to realizing their interest in pursuing medicine. And while it is important to have an interest in the human body if you are considering medicine, medicine is more than having a good sense of how things work it is rather years spent learning how they work.

Med schools require certain classes for admission namely 1 year of each physics, biology, non-organic chemistry, and organic chemistry with labs and most encourage additional classes in biochemistry, microbiology, and anatomy. You will know better after having taken some of these classes whether medicine is the right field for you.

If you are still interested then I wish you the best of luck. It is important to remember, as was said in a previous reply, medical school is an additional 4 years of training after your prerequisites plus an additional 3-7 years of residency. If that is a factor there are many professions that allow you to help people that may not require an additional 10+ yrs to complete especially if you have already finished one degree.

Nursing and Physician's Assistant are both great fields with lots of oppotunities. Both are still highly competetive, but pursuing one of these may only require an additional 4-5 years after your present bachelors.

Finally, as a word of caution I would advise against giving medical advice. While you may feel as though you know what is going on with someone, there are many problems that are not as they seem and may be the sign of something more dangerous. If you know someone expiriencing problems have them see someone actually trained in medicine, you may help them more than you know.

Best of Luck

okay. your question makes sense to me. first i would like to tell you that it's not right to give diagnosis to someone with only the little knowledge that you have. those people in the medical field though they have concepts already are not suppose to give medications or diagnosis unless licensed. its not really proper to do that. you might be placing someonelse's life at risk. 2nd issue if you really want to pursue medicine your degree must be a pre-med. thats the only time you can pursue med. proper. however if you are really interested but you think its very time consuming try another course like nursing for example. that will be great.

talking about your grammar, well try to improve it a little..
goodluck

Intelectually is probably, not the wright question.

More to the point, are you determined and crazy enough to want to study for 6 years to get your degree? Work around the clock for days in a row, not get paid that well and have to study in your free time.

Well if you have to ask this question on the net you probably aren't!

So get a life!

I don't mean to be offensive in the least but I must ask.... is English your primary language? Why do I ask? I don't think you would get into medical school with the grammar and spelling that you possess at this point. However, if you are not primarily English speaking, that would be a different matter.

Since you have no formal medical training, and at 21 probably not enough life experience , I think it is very irresponsible of you to be handing out medical diagnoses...and very dangerous for anyone to be taking your advice seriously. You sound very arrogant, full of yourself.... perhaps you should study pre-med, for you will fit in nicely with some, but certainly not the majority of, our licensced physicians....

It seems to me that you are completely deluded and have a complete lack of insight into your behaviour. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist.
