Please know I'm not trying to single out any one of you or make you look like you're less. I'm just curious as to what you think happens after death.

Keep in mind I can only speak for myself, and there is no-one who can speak for all atheists.

I think death is the end. Period. I think when a human dies, its exactly the same as when a mouse dies. The heart and brain stop working, and thats the end of it.

But, theres no way to know for sure, and there never will be. Its just a question of opinion.

~~~bomb,,,, We are Spiritual Beings having temporary Life Experiences as Human Beings. Death is only a Transitional Phase of this Cycle as The Soul returns to The Ethereal Realm for a Life Review and then awaits Rebirth. ~ Namaste`
by definition, athiests would have to believe in nothing after death. Anything more would have them putting faith in some sort of "afterlife". While I dont consider my self religous, i believe that we are all tied together, somewhere between energy and karma. our life is recycled back into the great pool of everything. But no, I will not have wings or horns.
I don't know, and that's okay. I don't need to know and I don't need to make up anything to be comfortable with not-knowing.
Perhaps it's the end of the chemical reactions and memory storage that I think of as "Me", or perhaps some spark of existence beyond my ken goes on to become part of a vast pool of consciousness (sort of the Star Wars "The Force" concept), or perhaps, well, there are many possibilities.
Live life - it's what's for dinner!
Nothing. You are dead. Remember what you were doing 60 years before you were born? It's very similar.
Unlike the Christians, who think death is like life but with cool Matrix Movie Special Effects and lots of ice cream.
interior the begining as that's purported in Bible, God created guy, it did no longer say he created first one faith, than yet another and then yet another: e.g. Muslims, Jews, Christians. The advent comes from God, all existence interior the international is effective. merely by fact one believes in a diverse e book and attends a diverse Temple and speaks a diverse language does not make one greater chosen or much less chosen. we are all interior the international and could shield the Planet and make it a greater healthy, safer, greater maintain and non violent place to liv. we are able to acieve this provided that we live in unity with one yet another and unite with one yet another and artwork with one yet another. we live by occasion and carry on with reliable occasion.
