Well, first of all i love maltsese puppies! They are soooooooo cute! Anyway I have a Bishon Frize and when we got her we didnt have a clue what to call her!So then she started peeing on the carpet and chewing the couch so we called her missy! That has been her name ever since! I also like Angel Crystal and lola! Hope this helps!
PS.Wait till you get your dog and see its personality! Then you will know what to call your Maltese!

I would wait until you get her and see what her personality is before you name her. Some names jump out at you the instant you see a dog and others take a while to figure out. I had my shih tzu for about 2 weeks before she got a permanent name. Everyone kept giving me names, but none seemed to fit her. I told the vet I was thinking of calling her Chithead (joking w/him of course), but she did get called that a few times along the way before her name and sometimes still does. Isabella is her name and I call her Izzy B. My husband calls her Dizzy - says it is not Izzy or Isabella, but Dizzy. She seems to know both names (they are at least similar).
Point is.....don't rush into a name. Take your time and make sure that's what you want to call her. After all......you'll be calling her that for a long time to come.

I also recently got a little girl Maltese. Beautiful and smart dogs. I picked alot of names and narrowed it down to 3 names. Mindy, Misty and Nikki. When I saw her for the first time I immediately decided on Mindy and we love it.

You should wait until you get her and see her personality and go from there.
I personally have named my dogs, Scooby & Pi. Scooby is scared of everything and Pi literally has the Pi math symbol on her chest. My cat's names are Tuesday, Wednesday and Garfield. We got Tuesday on a Tuesday. Garfield is an orange cat and Wednesday was born on a Wednesday and comes after Tuesday, hehe.
Have fun with their names and make it meaningful. When people ask their names, the next question is always, why? and we always have a fun story to add.

Hi there, I'm on my husbands profile- :)
Picking a name is sooo hard! We adopted our puppy at 4mos old and she was already named- Dora-but my husband didn't care for the name-She doesn't look like a Dora. So I searched online for names, but I wanted something different. A few days later we went on a road trip and I was looking at the exit signs and I found it! Totally represents her!
I still say her official name is Dora Paige! Paige is her name.
Wait until you get her and play and see how she is before naming. Congrats on your new addition! Enjoy-you'll have fun!

Whenever I needed a name for a pet, I would go through the phone book and look for unusual first or last names. This is how I came up with the name Mahona for my Cat. Good Luck.

I think MADDIE is a cute name but it would be hard to name her until you had her a couple of days.If you name her to soon you will end up having a nick name for her instead of calling her by her real name.
They say not to give your pet a name that is usualy given to a person.
