Depends on what you do. Some Guard/Reservists never see Iraq. I went in '03 as a reservist and my life went upside down afterwards. My fiancee and I broke up (we eventually got married in '05), and I have yet to go back to college after I dropped out before I left. It takes a strong relationship to withstand any deployment, but Iraq is a totally different situation altogether.

If your asking how I as a spouse feel about it well, it sucks. My husband is NG who went to Iraq on an 18 month deployment and has now been extended and won't be home for another three months. We have an almost 2 year old daughter who has seen her dad about 4 times. I still support my husband and the job he is doing so don't get me wrong. Its just a very long and difficult process.

We are all very upset. Does that answer your question
