Yep, the biblical monster is that way. People actually believe a deity is capable of hate, murder, jealousy, and vengence. It boggles my mind.

God isn't prepared that ANY ought to perish 2 Peter 3:9 God did use some in a detrimental way as an instance His glory yet no longer because He did no longer have plans for them later. study Revelation about the resurrection of all who ever lived and note how the Bible talks about a first resurrection and 2d resurrection, a firstfruit harvest and an outstanding harvest. God isn't attempting to maintain the international now! he's allowing mankind to jot down a heritage of sin and all its outcomes so as that no individual will ever ask your self throughout all eternity if there is any incorrect thanks to stay yet God's way. His palms are off this international except for infrequent interventions. II Cor. 4:4 says devil is the god of this international because God has allowed him to 'help' guy see precisely the position sin leads--once each and every of the time. Who says God knows what you or I are going to do? He instructed Abraham "Now i recognize..." at the same time as Abraham obeyed God contained in the most complicated of circumstances. Gen 22:12 That tells me He did not recognize earlier that. also it says Christ 'discovered'--how is that conceivable if He become God (which He become)? Hebrews 5:8 God needs all to be kept yet in time, no longer now! There are billions of those who've died and could die by no ability even listening to of Him, how might want to He carry them to blame for his or her moves? And if there is one of those difficulty as actuality, then all those diverse non secular factions can not be ideal, can they? God isn't a lot less logical or being concerned than you're! he's not by with this international or those which have died--no longer by utilising a lengthy shot!

There is a delicious double-irony in a quote from some famous theologian, I'm sorry, I forget for the moment who exactly, who on being asked how a 'loving' 'God' could create human suffering not only here on Earth, but in the afterlife in the form of 'Hell', replied that there was a period in the 'Creation' when 'God' apparently disappears, and that where he was at that time was that 'He' was 'creating' 'Hell' for people who asked questions like that !
Irony .... great isn't it, especially when people understand it, and when it is being used ?

Yes, I am an atheist, and I know that many christians believe in the kind of god you described.
Yes, it is true that, if seen from your perspective, that this idea of god is self-contradictory. Yet it does not matter, since logic, and consistency is not necessary for faith.
On another level, beliefs is harmless in itself. It is the action based on beliefs that is more tangible, and potentially dangerous. In other words, if certain christians believe that I will go to hell, that's fine. If, however, they act to speed that hypothesis along, I will be in trouble.

Yes, He is a Loving God.
He did not create hell He created all things good.
Hell is a name for the place where He sent Lucifer, and that is a dominion where he rules---- the air.
Satan is the torturer, and is the one who fell from the Loving Father ,and fell from beauty, and a place beyond our imagination.
It was/is so beautiful where God is and where He created from that lucifer wanted to own it and claim it and rebelled against not getting his way so what was God suppose to do?
God did not put out His light, but instead, sent him away he was disrupting Glory.

Great way of posing the question.
"Isn't He such a loving god? I wish my parents loved me that much..." I was going to answer this question with something to that effect.

How ignorant of you. God loves you even while you hate Him. Jesus Christ suffered and died on a cross even though He knew that you would say those words today. Life is hard and that has absolutely nothing to do with God. It has to do with our choices and the choices of other people.
Because you are so Biblically illiterate, you don't understand that hell was given to Lucifer and his third of the angels and that he also was given free reign on earth to try to influence people against God, remember Eve? Lucifer got kicked out of heaven because he allowed his pride to get in the way of his relationship with his creator. Sound familiar? He is doing a real good job at it because there are so many people like you who are so convinced that there is no God you are willing to act like jerks to people who are able to accept it.

Isn't that kind of confusing. I mean I have heard this over and over, Christians tell atheists they are going to hell, atheists use this as an argument against the love of God or Christians.
If you do not believe in God, then there is no heaven or hell to worry about. Non-believers cannot have it both ways.
If you believe in God and you are condemning others to a hell, you should recall clearly that you will be judged by the same measure as you judge others....so you will likely end up there too (if it exists). Christians cannot have it both ways.
So, the hell argument really has no merit at all, it proves nothing and is a waste of time.

Sarcasm does not become you. This shows how arrogant a race we can be. We really believe that God has to prove something to us. What audacity! Our pride will condemn us, not God. He has given us a way of escape. We are just too hard-hearted and rebellious to take it. God does love us. We reject His love as some type of unholy thing, and then expect Him to just wink at it? Why? Because you can't understand why He'd create hell? Because you can't understand why He won't make you believe? Laughable.

Wrong. If you are a good person but belong to no religion it is a shame, but not a problem. If you are evil then you go to hell because you are no use to him. In the Quran it says that god understands people's limitations, so it may be that nobody taught you or you are hurt, not that you are evil. only evil people go to hell.

The choice is our own where we will spend eternity. God is a just God, so there has to be payment for sin- however- He sent His Son to die the death that we should have died. God says, He loves the whole world- so those who do not chose to accept Christ has chosen hell for themselves. His love gives us a choice.
