I forget where I saw this, but in the past, Jews were so persecuted, they couldn't find work anywhere. So they did what any human would do, try to live, and the only way they could do this was to lend money out at interest.

Yes Muslims forbid it and you are not a Muslim unless you give to charity always. But I think you will find that the Cristian religion is the same, not implemented as much, but the same principles apply. As far as Jews go they are apparently and I wont swear on this only allowed to charge interest to non Jews. But yes our world is as ungodly as ungodly gets and Jews did invent interest and extortion that has unfortunatly become part of our society, the richer you are the less ineterst you pay etc..In the UK and the Us the divide between rich and poor is getting wider and wider, children live in poperty in huge numbers (increases every year)and no one cares, apparently our economy is great!

The banking system we have today was invented by European christians, and instead of interest,
Muslim banks charge "fees" that on paper are not interest, but in practice are. Christians do not have a monopoly on free loan societies....

There's no point in lending money without interest--banks would die.

Loans are a part of business. Reality is that if loans had no interest people would probably never repay them.

Christians do too. I think it is odd that people ignore this rule. As a Baha'i I am taught that we are allowed to do it as long as we do it justly and honestly, as Baha'u'llah teaches, but I coudl not be a Christian and have a credit card. It is not good to have one anyways.
