I have a Junior "8" tattoo in the small of my back, in the center of two checkered flags with flaming sticks. Any suggestions in what I can do to alter these, if in fact Junior leaves DEI to pursue another race team?

Why do anything? That tattoo shows that you've been a fan from the start. Just think, if he goes through a few different teams over the course of his career, you'll have the tattoo of his first one. I personally don't think you should do anything. I'd just get another one if anything but don't cover it up.

I was just talking with my father in law about that commercial a few years ago about him changing his number and in a chuckle I mentioned a tattoo "8" ... I am so glad that I got his autograph (signature) tattoo instead of the number but I really think a few of the other answers are right just leave it it shows you have been there from the start and that you are a true fan not just a bang wagon fan .... maybe just add the new number later

Get the left side of the 8 lasered off and have it touched up to make it a 3. You don't have to worry about Sr ever changing cars and the 3 will be remembered much longer than the 8 anyway.

Keep your tat as it is. There may come a day when you want to alter it with a coverup but if you want to keep it a Dale Jr tattoo you may want to wait to do that until he is at the end of his career. Then you can change the tattoo to something related to one of the highlights of his career.

Guess you'll be a fan of #8.
Or go to have plastic surgery to remove it.
Or put 2 small eyes and ears and a smile and call it a racing kittey.

Well, he's leaving...It's official...so, you could have it removed if you want...or keep it as it will always really be associated with Jr., even if someone else gets into the car...There won't be much you can do if his new car doesn't have an 8 on it...

I say leave it alone. Jr will always be associated with the #8 car. Leave it be show you are a true fan. GO JR!!

You could make it into a snowman. Just kidding! Just leave it -he could still have it, or just get his new number above it. It will just prove in the future that you were a fan from the beginning.

That tat represents JR and will always be just that.
Wear it with pride as a loyal fan as I will my #3 even if ANYONE else drives a #3 NASCAR.
