It's silly to ask whether anything the Catholic Church ever did was wise. Wise never entered into it. Money lending was considered immoral; therefore it was something the Jews could be allowed to do, since the Church considered them immoral from the start. Then, when Jews took up money lending to survive, the Church could say, "Hah! Look at those immoral Jews, lending money!"

The moneylender job became available and the European Jews were the only ones who were unemployed at the time

I think that the catholics thought it was immoral to gain interest by lending money so they forbade any followers to do so. Hence Jews didn't have to follow those rules. So they were technically against "greed". I don't know why they reversed their stance, but I would assume they saw lost business opportunities

European Jews became money lenders because all other professions were barred to them. Just like Hollywood today is predominantly run by Jews The film industry was new and they didn't face the same restrictions like so many other lucrative professions.

I see that you are just another anti-Catholic trouble maker on this forum which is not for the purpose of ranting and raving.

The notion of your question is irrelevant. What you really mean to say is that you just don't like the Jewish people. Best to be honest and upfront.
