1. Get proper rest.
2. Do you have an upper respiratory problem? Use an inhaler.
3. Right after getting done singing, drink lemon juice with/without warm honey. Think like a starting baseball pitcher who ices his arm after gunning the ball 6-9 innings. Gotta save that instrument of greatness for next time. Rod Stewart chews on raw lemons after work to save himself for next time. I drink lemon juice straight.

Have you been voice trained, as choirs don't generally concentrate on correct technique, also choirs practice alot while sitting down, this takes away alot of your ability to use support and forces you to use your throat to sing. I have this problem myself, so I use falsetto alot and wait till we are standing up to sing correctly

You could be singing on your vocal chords. If so, do not continue that way because you could permanently damage them. Don't overuse your voice, and focus on breathing correctly from the diaphragm. You might want to ask your choir director about it, they should help you out.

Make sure you aren't belting, because then you can really develop calluses and make your voice scratchy. Also, try warming up better and for a longer time so your voice gets used to singing gradually. Finally, pour some salt into regular water and gargle it! It works miracles!

rest your voice as much as you can. drink lots of water, your through might have gone dry. also, avoid sweets and cold drinks hours before you sing (if possible make it a constant habit). sweets make the opening of your throat smaller and cold drink may hurt too.

Make sure you are using your diaphram. That way you won't be putting pressure on your vocal cords.
