God is all knowing and powerful , He doesn't need you to pray , he wants you too . He wants that connection with you , he wants you to know that he listens , If you feel the need to pray , that's the holy spirit asking you too . You should feel special , This is his way of talking to you .

when you are told by others you are a sinner, that you must buy into another's lie to believe you are born wrong, born ready for hell and only remedy is to pray...what else do you expect?
prayer is communication
prayer can be you just listening to yourself and your common sense, and getting to know yourself as a whole being that is not tainted by sin from another person's mistake of making a choice
choosing should never be a crime..think about that

Depends on what your praying for. I know at times, the Holy Ghost has laid ppl on my hearts to pray for at alllll times of the day or night.
