What does it mean when i turn my computer screen on and it turns white?

In the morning i log on, and the it just goes to a white screen, i have to hit it a couple of times until it comes back to where i can see the screen. What does this mean? And how do i fix this??

Hi. Don't hit it! It's probably just a loose cable on the back. Remove it and reseat it.
