If this were true the Bible and the religions it spawned would be written by the wrong side that won. Debateable because of all the crud they gave the world. I'm familiar with Bible,New Age
and Paganism. These are just thoughts that came to mind from time to time.

history is written by the winners. Whoever won got to write what happened and they could have made themselves out to be the good guys. So who knows?

If everything happens for a reason then the "wrong" side could never win. Losing is sometimes for the best because we learn more when we lose. Most Conservative protestants would say God is perfect and therefore cannot lose. My opinion is that he can lose if he chooses to.

All is possible in Him. He has said so.
Just the same, any question involving Him, His Acts, or His Creations (Satan, your implied 'victor', is, after all, His Creation too: the fallen Archangel Lucifer), are best left for Him to answer. Ask Him, when you have the good fortune of meeting Him.
