I am thinking of the missing four year old today and sending out much love and hope for HER. I would like to think she is safe and will be returned to her parents and family soon. As a mum it makes me want to go to Portugal and help find her. My love goes to her family xxxxxxxxx however am I wrong to wonder why her parents even thought of wanting to leave her and her brother and sister alone? WHY? it doesn't matter where I go my children the same ages are not left alone for even a second, the fear of loosing them is too great. They should of ordered food in or took the children with them. (I certainley mean no harm in my question, it's a thought I simply feel) Secondly has anyone ruled out that she may of managed to of left the apartment herself? Woken up as children doing feeling afraid, and then went in search of her parents? However I pray in my heart this beautiful baby girl is fount alive safe and well and as a parent if anyone knows where she is DO THE RIGHT THING

i think by now that her parents KNOW that they made a terrible mistake and are now regretting it...but at the moment all they are interested in is finding her alive...they are prolly racked with guilt and regrets, but on the other hand i feel so sad for them because this is their child and the NOT KNOWING must be a nightmare for them.....i too have been praying that she turns up safe and well, i don't think she's dead though, i think she may have been sold onto a childless couple somewhere...i know that sounds terrible, but i think alot of people are thinking the same, but who knows where she is and what she's going through...lets just hope that someone has the compassion and common sense to return her safely back into her family surroundings, i too thought that she may have wandered off somewhere, BUT she would have been found by now, anyone who sees a little girl roaming the streets late at night would take her to the police station, unless she's has got herself into the wrong hands...it's all a big mystery right now but i have faith that she will be found safe and well...lets keep praying for her....

I am a parent my son is nine and my daughter is only a couple of weeks older than madeline, there is nothing worse than what has happened, for your own child to be missing my heart goes out to her parents. To many people are quick to critise and they would never have done this and that but that doesnt help anyone. As time goes on its heart breaking and I pray and hope that the people return madeline safe and well and reunite her to the people she should never of been taken away from.

we have totally utterly exhausted the question of how right or wrong they were to leave her alone in the apartment.
Lets not go back there but instead to focus our support of this family and pray they see Maddie again.
I cannot imagine what they are going through but each time i try I feel i could cry for them. They have to live with what they did so lets just focus on trying to find Maddie!

My thoughts are exactly the same as yours. I am praying for her and her family and of course for her safe return.

I would barely turn my back on children that age much less actually leave them alone.

I too thought that she may have gotten out by herself. One article mentioned a slightly opened window. Of course if this had happened I would think she would have been found by now.

I do feel for the family but summit doesn`t add up to me firstly why didn`t she use the babysitting service that hotel provide? I'm a parent and i would never leave my child on her own its just not right why didn`t she take them and when she went on TV i didn't see her cry if it was me i wouldn`t be able to speak for crying.Maybe its wrong of me to say this and i do feel for them i don`t know hopfull they`ll find her save and alive

You are right to pray and right to bring this to peoples notice - but now is not the time for recriminations on the parents.

Whatever they have done or not done is nothing compared to the childstealers and what they have in mind for the baby.

Concentrate your thoughts and prayers on a safe and happy ending to this terrible event.

Everyone feels the same way. I have no children myself, but I have a niece the same age.
