for me i would say the month before she passed, as we all knew she would. we had the opportunity to have many of the conversations we wished we had always had. i saw her life as independent from mine for the first time and i was proud of what she had accomplished as it unfolded in front of me.
what are yours?

My mum made bread every week. By hand. Sometimes she made brown bread, with oatmeal and molasses -- that was our favorite. My sisters and I are still looking for the recipe.

And she always forgot to roll up her sleeves before beginning the kneading process, so she always had to stop, with her hands all sticky, to ask someone to do it for her.

There are so many memories where do I start? I would guess that it would be the day she came home from the hospital when I was young. She had been away for a while and I was too young to understand why. She was the only true parent for us 4 girls. She had us so young and did her best to raise us. She suffered a breakdown when she was 27, divorced for the second time and faced other trials with 4 small girls to raise.. She is an amazing person. We are still making memories.

Very good question, but that is too personal to share here; no, nothing sexual or weird.

I will, however, share the NEXT fondest, if there is any such thing:

She had a very high opinion of me. And ever so often, by words and deeds, she would let me know that. She died a few years ago. At her funeral, the one thought that reverberated in my mind was,"The only person who loves me unconditionally, is there no more".

Suggestion for "A. Dane's" : But she is still alive, yes? On your next birthday, why don't YOU bake a cake and present it to her, expressing your thanks once again for all that she did for you, especially in the process of giving birth to you !

Her apple pies.
My mother made the best pies this side of heaven.
Apple, lemon, mincemeat, chocolate, cherry, pumpkin.
But especially her chocolate pies, which she made with unsweetened chocolate squares, cornstarch, sugar, butter and milk. And topped with meringue.
She made her own crusts and oh how I wish I could have another piece of mom's pies.
She worked every night from 6PM to 2AM cleaning offices for attorneys for minimum wage for fifteen years without missing a night.
She sewed, was always home, paid her bills on time, stayed married to my great dad and basically did what was expected of her even after losing two daughters ages 15 months and 9 months old.
I miss her smile and her PIES!
My mother went home to be with Jesus in 2004.

Um...I dunno, actually. My mother is not that wonderful to me. She's nice and everything, but she's very selfish and loves to be a victim and make everything be about her. Wednesday was my birthday and I didn't get any presents or a cake or anything from my family, and my mother went out and bought two pairs of pumps for her "singing career" that is nonexistent. I guess my fondest memory is when I wrote her a mother's day poem a couple years ago and she cried.

My mom would be ninety this summer season. My fondest reminiscence is a retrospective. i understand what sort of existence my mom had on the farm and why she left abode at sixteen to discover a job in the city and commence her existence on her very own. regardless of a few not great factors of her starting to be up she is a superb mom and guy or woman, individuals are interested in her because of the fact she is so interesting and delightful! She embodies the words Love and need.

None, my mom was one of the worst people I ever knew. A drug addict who thrives on drama no matter what it did to her children. She is one of the only people I have ever met that I truly think could never change.

The day my daughter was born, she took her into her arms and said to me with a tear in her eyes that she felt exactly like the day I was born, the love in her eyes was overwhelming.
