You can lose five kgs in a month and a half or so and not gain it back by doing it the right way, no fad or crazy diet that is so restricting...

You need to make healthy choices when eating and check the amount of calories you need daily and stick to that. Here's where you can check your daily caloric needs: http://www.healthylifeday.com/Caloriecalculate.htm

Don't forget exercise to keep that metabolism up, any exercise is good for you... you could even start walking or something just to get your muscles used to it, if you don't exercise already. Drink plenty of water- 1.5 litres per day minimum!

Eat less junk, more vegetables and fruits.

The reason behind why you haven't lost any in the past might be because you did not follow a healthy diet...?

Hope this has helped, good luck.

That would depend on your weight, wouldn't it?
The heavier you are, the easier it should be to burn calories. In theory all you'd have to do is burn 78,000 calories and not increase your diet, assuming you aren't already eating more than your daily requirements.

But this gets a little confusing, even assuming you can know exactly how much exercise burns you 2000 calories a day, because your dietary requirements should actually go down as you lose weight, but might have to go up if you are gaining muscle too. And if you are gaining muscle, you'll have to lose quite a bit more fat than 10kg if it's the weight that matters to you.

Your reason behind this: slow metabolism. I have it, too, and I hafta work out ALL the time to stay in shape.

If you want to lose that weight...it'll be tough at first if you're not the type to do this, but you need to eat healthy and exercise. And once you've lost the weight, you need to continue doing so in order to keep from gaining it back. That's all, really. Just don't overdo it.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Why you lose weight with much difficulty will depend on your food habits, your lifestyles and your body chemistry.
Many have heavy diet and dont seem to gain weight(Its because in some cases, body releases kind of digestive chemicals that dont allow deposition of cellulite)
Present day occupations requires us to sit half of the day in front of computer.
Our food habits include 30% of food stuffs that are junk.

My experience says that intially you should take it slow.
Let your body adjust to increasing levels of workouts. Its important that you lose first couple of inches as soon as possible but it should be done comfortably.
If you lose first couple of inches early, you will feel good about your achievement and enthusiasm will want you achieve more. But if its not done comfortably, you will lose enthusiasm after a week or so.
Dont worry about diet in the beginning. We automatically watch our diet once we are regular with our exercise regime. After spending about 1/2 an hour sweating we obviously do not want to waste all that effort in 1/2 secs by eating high colestrol diet.
I started with static cycling. Since I found it difficlut to sit for 30 mins at a stretch, I divided my time span. In a day, I cycled for about 10 mins THREE times a day at 4 hr interval( No change in my diet). Continue this for about 10 days. After 10 days your body will adjust itself for such exer-regime.
On 11th day you can try doing for 12 mins. Continue this for about 7 days and increase it to 15 mins next week(Now you have to do only for 2 intervals)
Continue like that till you can do it for 30 mins at a stretch.
Now start watching over your diet. Try taking a 'fun punishment' if you happen to eat 'forbidden diet'. Try cycling for x-tra 5 mins as a compensation.
If you have done it religiously, you will lose about 2/3 inches and 1/2 pounds in 30/45 days(Please dont underestimate your achievement. 1 inch loss is OVERALL loss and not region specific)

Somehow manage to be regular atleast for first 15/16 days. After that you will get used to it.
Post a question like 'How do I celebrate my 'wieght loss' success?" on Yahoo!answers if you are successful. I 'll come to know you have done a good job.

Happy Slimming!!!
