stop counting calories burned - believe me - they are not precise, count time doing cardio!!!
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Okay, calories and dieting really don't help that much. they help for abuot the first month and then it doesn't matter. If you want to lose weight around your stomach area, get flat abs, and just be a littel bit more toned, the #1 best things to do are SIT UPS and CRUNCHES and THE BICYCLE ROUTINE.
I can't explian HOW to do it, so maybe you should ask your mom how. but all i no is it works so well. omg. if you do 15 crunches or situps or "the bicycle routine" everyday you will have a toned stomach and flat abs and even amazing legs.
but muscle weighs 3 times more than fat so when u weigh yourself and youve gained more weight that means that the exercise is working. dont focus on your weight.

If you don't eat that much your body is storing the fat for when it is need. As with any diet/fitness program you have to eat. And as women, we tend to store more fat in our bellies, hips and thighs. (Great isn't it)
Try eating small portions of healthy foods several times a day. This will give your body more energy throughout the day. Drink plenty of water before (about 30 mins) your workout and then during. After your workout try some Gatorade or Powerade to replace electrolytes that were lost during your workout.
Walking is a good all over toner but you need to refine your workout and a great warm-up for further exercising. For my belly & hip area I use the AB Lounge Ultra Sport and it seems to work well. You could join a gym, if you can afford it, and they can give you tips on other things you can do.
Another thing that is inexpensive in an exercise ball. You can do all sorts of different exercises with that for belly & hips.
Best wishes & Good Luck!
