The Lab is the number 1 registered dog with AKC right now. It is the most popular breed..this is unfortunate since it has led to overbreeding by byb/mills and other irresponsible people. Once this happens it sets a breed back and undermines all the hardwork that has been put into a breed for so many years by responsible, dedicated breeders..it leads to health & temeprament issues (which we are seeing more and more of in the breed) and there are more and more being produced that don't even come close to breed standard.

You'd be right.
But please don't get another one just because they're popular and many people suggest Labs because they're 'America's family dog'.
Do your research of where this other Labrador is coming from . . .popularity breeds puppy mills and BYB.

Yes they are. Number one in the U.S and England. They are the GREATEST! They are versatile, intelligent, loving, devoted, affectionate and fun loving. I have 2 and would NEVER be without one.
