I bought a car from japan, the one that arrived is not the car I ordered. The chassis number is also not the one on the invoice.

Contact the retailer immediately. If you have the transcript of your purchase (email, fax, letter, etc), present it also.
Considering the fact that the chassis number on your invoice was correct (and notes your original vehicle), maybe the mistake took place whilst conveying. In any case, the retailer should know and be taking care of this matter fully. If they seem reluctant and you cannot receive what was promised in the primal order, then that is technically a fraud.

No matter how many times I say, "Never buy a car from abroad, unless you've actually seen it", people keep on handing their money over to someone they've never met, for a car they don't even know exists.

Don't take it. If you bought it from a dealer in the U.S. they should be required to deliver what you ordered.

tell them they gave u the wrong car -show them that the numbers dont match and i dont see why they wouldnt exchange it for the right car--its obviously their fault
