I was attacked by an Avis guard who is still working for Avis. I rented a car at the Milw. WI aiport, the checkpoint guard verifies your id and will fill out an Avis form indicating dents prior to you removing the vehicle. The guard didn't want to give me the form. If I leave without the form I can be accused of damage I didn't do. The guard wrote on my contract, instead of giving me the Avis form. I asked the guard to sign her note. She finally agreed but,as I sat in the car and held my hand out for the form, the guard crushed my fingers and yanked arm back the opposite way almost breaking my arm. I called management who stated this guard had plenty of complaints before, but customers don't write letters, could you please write a letter? I checked back 1 week and 1 month later, the guard is still their. What does this say about Avis Rent A Car? Does the guard need to kill 32 people like the VirginiaTech Massacre before Avis pays attention? avisstinks@yahoo.com

Don't waste time writing letters to avis, file a lawsuit, if the guard does have prior complaints your word over hers is no contest, you can even get the other complaints to help prove your case.

I agree with samhillesq's comments. If this guard has prior complaints against her, it is a sign of negligence on Avis' part for not re-assigning her or firing her.

Seriously, go the lawsuit route. That's bs. You were assaulted due to the unwanted physical contact she made.

If a guard had done that to me, I would have gotten out of my car and taught them a lesson, but that's just me.

National has awful people. They are rude. I've never had a problem with Avis. Will never rent from National again, however.
Sorry you had a bad experience.

It would have helped if you had called the police to report the assault. After the fact it becomes more of a tussle of who said what, Who did what.
