Hi, I have a 1990 Ford Mustang and am having trouble removing the headrest, In the past I've seen someone use a slim down the front of it with much difficulty, I'm hoping someone has an easier way

There should be a plastic release around the base of the head rest Be careful and don,t break it press the plastic retainer the head rest should come out. good luck

If I remember correctly, what I used to do was sit in the back seat,recline the seat back into me, and moving the cover around,you can take a long regular screw driver and depress the release thru the hole for the plastic bezel for the headrest. You will need a flashlight to see the release pin that is pointing toward the front of the seat,but you can just look on the headrest leg to see which side the release is on.
I hope I'm right, because if not, you will have to separate the seat back cover at the bottom, and reach up the back to release it.
Either way isn't real tough if you have some mechanical ability.

Feel between the bottom of the headrest and the top of the seat. You will find a little release button or tab, push it in with one hand and hold it, and with the other hand pull the headrest out. good luck
