balls flew past me and it bounced like someone had thrown it,theres a wall behind me,i was the only one in the kitchen,my dad died 4 yrs ago and he was always larking around,do you think it could be him

I experienced a cork fly across a room as if some had flicked it, but there was no one there. In my case I am convinced that it was poltergeist activity. It would be great to think that it was your dad, but poltergeists seem to be eminations from living people, not dead people like ghosts are supposed to be. Is there a female in your family going through puberty or pregnancy at the moment? That seems to be the main cause of poltergeists.

Oh, yes, a ball bounced, and there's no possible way that it could have been anything other than your dead father throwing it. That's obviously the only reasonable explanation. Elvis must have said to him, "Throw that ball, and they'll know it was you!".

Well, you didn't ask this very well according to the format, but I will give you my answer anyway: the ball probably was NOT thrown by your dead father. I won't say it could not have been, but I will certainly go with probably not.
Still, I suppose it COULD have been. A poltergeist is more likely.

my dad's a site manager (care-taker) at a very old primary school and he has to clean up till 6. half 6 every night one night years ago, he was cleaning up the library/ play room (its one room, with only one entrance but with a book shelves half way through), and he was hoovering, he was the only one in the building- he'd watch all the teachers leave and he locked the door behind them), so, yes, hoovering near the entrence to the room and a woodn building block went flying past his face, from the direction of the toy room.
so yes, probably.

How did you feel when it happened? If you felt like you did when your dad was alive, larking around, it was probably him. If you feel it was, then it more than likely was him just showing you that he's still around and watching over you :-)

I'm sorry, but it probably wasn't your dad. If he could communicate with you, I don't think he'd be throwing balls at you.
