I replaced coolant 50/50, new thermostat, hoses are not flattend, no coolant leaks any where.there seams to be back pressure to the fill reservoir. If the water pump was bad wouldnt it leak coolant from under car? I can not find leaking anywhere

Are you sure the fan is coming on? I had a few temperature switches go out on me.
Any problems with the radiator cap?

Is the radiator hotter than heck when it over heats?Did you flush the radiator when you replace the coolant or did you just drain it?

Weird things can happen with the water pump who knows they blades might have fell off. but you would think this would be unlikely.

When does it overheat? all the time or just periodically. Is it really overheating...check the temp by placing a kitchen type thermometer in the radiator neck where the cap goes and start the car, when it warms up, the temp should be about 200 degrees. If it stays at 200, then the temp sensor is bad.. If it's higher, it is overheating and could be a number of things....pump vanes could be worn out which would cause a loss of flow of coolant and not show any external leaking, could be air bubbles or pockets in the system...some newer cars cooling systems have to be purged of air properly, check if there's an air bleed screw on top of the t-stat housing or in the lines. Could be a plugged radiator...have it flushed. Could be a bent, broken or missing lower air dam....it forces air into the radiator when driving and is necessary for proper cooling. Are the cooling fans kicking on when temp is higher...could be a bad relay, fan motor or wiring issue. Just a few ideas for you....Paul

Not all waterpumps have whats called a ''weep hole'' this is where coolant will escape indicating that the pump is going bad,so you could have a bad waterpump, but I would start with the fan first to make sure that its working and if so, then look to the pump as the problem.

Is it overheating according to the guage on the dash, or have you checked the heat coming out of with a pyrometre? Maybe the guage isn't reading right. What motor is in this one? 3.3 and 3.5 are ones that are bad for water pumps. Another option is that there is air in the system.
