ok dude..ima chick and let me tell u this. u have to show her that u like her. email is not enuf for most chicks..so call her from time to time...and if u live close to each other hang out or take her somewhere like the movies or a place that she will have fun at. try not to be so shy around her or jus in general becus trust me once u come out of ur shell...u enjoy life more because ur getting more of what u want..understand?? dnt let ur shyness loose ur gf. u can be the best bf to her if u work at it and truly show her the great fun loving guy u r. good luck- hoops

I have 6 sons and i will tell you, over come that shyness even if it is only with her. Open up and you will find a big ol world.E mailing is nothing but conversation and a girl needs more. Show yourself and they will love ya or let you know they do not and that is an easy thing to work though.

Ask her about herself and REALLY LISTEN when she talks. Ask where she grew up, what kind of movies she likes, does she have pets, does she believe in ghosts, does she get along with her family -- whatever. If you concentrate on listening to her, you will forget about yourself and your shyness for awhile.

Also, PRACTICE talking. If you have siblings, practice on them. If not, use a mirror. Seems strange, I know, but it WORKS.

And maybe you can find some activities to do together -- a hobby or class that you both enjoy. Then you have a safe topic for conversation!

Good luck.

Ask her out somewhere and if you are worried about what to say then take her to a movie where there wont b akward silences, and u could tell her that you're shy so she might be more understanding. If you're afraid she won't like you if u tell her this, then you should find someone else who likes u for being u.

you shouldn't change yourself for a girl, because then they wouldn't be going out with you, they would would be going out with a stranger.

If your problem is you just don't really talk a lot, try taking her to a movie and then discuss the movie. That way you guys can both talk freely and you don't need to think real hard about what to say next.

Sounds like you need to have a heart to heart talk with her. Ask her to meet you at a park or some hang out you both like and just talk. If you are not ready to talk to her, then perhaps you don't need to be dating at this stage. It sounds like you are quite young; do you really need to date anyway?

dude just dont worry about it. im much the same and ive found that worrying just makes the problem worse. just be yourself and it'll all go well. it doesnt matter if your a bit quiet. once you relax and quit worrying it'll make a world of a difference which everyone including your girlfriend will notice and enjoy

You need to find something to talk about, Matt... something to break the ice so you get over your shyness. Ask her about herself, and maybe she'll open up. Or maybe even talk about your emails. Or about recent TV shows. Conversation is too important... you need to find some common interests and start talking with her.

Trust me... she will appreciate your efforts.

From a girl's point of view - don't be scared. She wants you to make the first move. She's not going to get anywhere near dumping a great guy like you unless you make her get suspicious.
